NEXT EVENT: July 5th - 38th Infantry Division Band
Join us July 5th for our first event of the Summer Music In The Park Series. We are excited to kick off this season with The 38th Infantry Division Band.
Headquartered in Indianapolis, the 38th Infantry Division Band, premier military musical ensemble for the state of Indiana, performs ceremonies, concerts, and parades in both military and civic capacities throughout the state.
Since its formation in 1917, the band has maintained a long and proud history with the 38th Division. The band saw action in the European theater during World War I and the Philippines during World War II. At that time the 38th Division became known as “The Avengers of Bataan.”
The 38th Infantry Division Band is comprised of several performing components including: The Concert Band, The Ceremonial Band, The Jazz Band, The Brass Quintet, The Stage Band and the rock band, Rapid Fire. These music performance teams are in high demand. The newest addition, Rapid Fire, performed during the Indianapolis 500 festivities this year.
The band is a versatile organization which performs a wide variety of music including marches, traditional, and patriotic selections, as well as jazz and popular musical styles. Notable performances for the band include appearances with country artists Winona Judd and Josh Turner, and for political dignitaries at the state and national level.
Held at the Young Amphitheater in Plymouth IN, these shows promises to be fun for the entire family.Tickets are $10. Children and students Free! We look forward to seeing you!
